Markos Rounthwaite

With over two decades of experience as an award-winning stunt coordinator and 5th degree black belt in Taekwon-do, New Zealand native Markos Rounthwaite brings a gritty, in-the-trenches directorial style. As Co-Founder of Greenstone Films in Europe, Markos now brings this talent to the forefront of filmmaking as Writer, Director & Producer, bringing in the knowledge acquired by working alongside leading Directors & Producers with the intent of developing and producing original independent feature film and television content.

Having cut his teeth choreographing combat sequences for A-list talent including Matt Damon, Idris Elba, and Russell Crowe, Markos knows how to maximize the impact of every punch while showcasing the nuances of a performer. His extensive personal background competing internationally in Taekwon-do gives Markos an intimate understanding of the training and mentality necessary for combat sports. This enables him to capture the dangerous world of underground fighting with unparalleled authenticity.

Having honed his directorial chops helming action units on major productions like Iron Man 3, Markos brings a sharp eye and knack for dynamic, efficient fight choreography. And his hands-on experience allows him to seamlessly blend an actor's unique physicality into each scene.

With genre films already under his belt, Markos has mastered cinematic action that interweaves exhilarating stunt-work with complex character drama. This rare blend of virtues showcases scrappy underdog characters and brings them to visceral life.

Given his credentials coordinating stunts on over 30 motion pictures, Markos knows how to maximize production value and create immersive atmospherics around his performers. He finally has the opportunity to merge his expertise choreographing gritty, in-the-trenches fight sequences with his ability to draw out deep and powerful performances. Backed by decades of experience both in front of and behind the camera, Markos is uniquely equipped to direct with a raw, unfettered, and true-to-life aesthetic.


Matt Somerville

Veteran EPK producer and post-production supervisor Matt Somerville brings over 15 years of industry experience to the Greenstone Films team. Born in Canada and raised in California, Matt got his start in the San Francisco Bay Area before relocating to Hollywood. He has worked his way up through the ranks on major studio productions for the likes of Warner Bros., Universal, Sony, Lionsgate, Netflix, Amazon Studios and Paramount.

Matt has collaborated closely with renowned directors including Lana Wachowski, Joel Silver, and Ti West among others. His credits span blockbuster features, streaming series and award-winning independent films. Matt oversaw extensive post-production on projects such as The Matrix Resurrections, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, The Nice Guys and keystone superhero franchises.

With his depth of technical expertise and holistic understanding of the filmmaking process, Matt is an invaluable creative partner in bringing Greenstone Film's bold artistic visions to life on screen.

Miram Choi

With a creative background spanning design, fashion and props, Miram relocated from New York to Los Angeles and cemented herself in the fashion print world, ultimately crossing over into film as head of logistics within Action Design Company MR Stunts Inc.

Boasting the innate ability to quickly comprehend complex situations and multitask efficiently, Miram is an excellent problem-solver and gifted people-person. She has lent these talents to blockbuster productions including Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, Iron Man 3, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and The Gunman as Stunt Department Coordinator, working closely alongside stars like Robert Downey Jr, Sean Penn and Nicolas Cage.

As Co-Founder of Greenstone Films in Europe, Miram’s creative workflow has flourished, now developing and producing original content for the global independent film and television industry. With a meticulous eye and interpersonal flair, Miram understands both the nuances of behind-the-scenes coordination and the broader creative vision.
